No nursery nurse tips but my advice is to take some deep breaths, relax and be yourself.
You know you can do the job and don't forget you're interviewing them too to see if it's the sort of place you'd like to work.
GOOD LUCK Twinny! Just be you and you'll do great.
Lxxx

not had an interview at a nursery before but had one recenntly for an office job (that i got lol)
I know its not gonna be a formal job but id still go in a suit tbh. Gives a good inpression and looks professional.
Act confident in what you know, dont sit with your arms folded or hunched over.
Also have eye contact with person your talking to.

Good luck chick im sure you will do really well

i work in a nursey hun just do what the other girls have said and take some deep breathes.

have you worked in nursery before? do you know what will be expected off you? how much do you know bout the frameworks etc?

it all depends on nursery to nursery but if i can help anymore give me shout.

is there anything in particular your nervous about?

hi hun...i have worked in a nursery before and i have a btec national diploma in early years, also worked with many foster children, in a SEN unit and had alot more varied experience in college.

what should i wear ? i dont have a suit :( what kinda things will thy ask me ? soooo nervous

ok with clothes question, is it just a interview or do you need to spend some time in one of the rooms? if just normal interview i would just wear black trousers and just white shirt or top keep it simple if you dont have a suit.

if you have to spend some time with children in room wear something lose but comfortable.

they will ask you about your experience and activities and what achievements.

when i do interviews i mainly focus on their CV and what their responsibilies they have had before and ask them for examples of what activities they have undertaken under different topics.

you maybe asked queastions like what would you do if a child was choking? if you had a problem with another member of staff or parents how would you deal with it?

main thing is its also your oppertunity to ask questions about the nursery and find out anything you can about the job role.

I've never worked with kids but have conducted many interviews, and I would say that you should be able to give examples of the required competencies. Like if you're asked 'what would you do if' it would be good if you're able to relate that to something you've already done. Good luck xxx

Make sure you're up to speed on the Birth - 3 Matters, Foundation Stages etc. Try and think of lots of different types of play/activities because they may give you a scenario. You could take some examples of the types of activities you organised in your previous settings, stuff like that :)

Good luck hun

glad it went well hun, got everything crossed for you that you get it!
DId you get the letter from the police too?
