When I came downstairs this morning there was a huge SPIDER on the landing wall above my head! I ran the last few steps to living room safety.

It's now 11am, I'm still in my dressing gown and thinking about staying here all day as am too scared to go back up. Because of where it is, I won't see it until I'm right underneath it, and what if it's moved?? I've got no shoes on if it's on the floor, and how can I take Stanley with me if I'm going to panic and can't run?? what if it hasn't moved and drops on my head??

I know it's really pathetic but I can't stay here all day. I'll need the loo and Stanley and I wanted to go out for a walk :(

Any advice?

Grab the hoover extend the pipe and hold it high above your head walk up o where it is and get it before it gets chance to do anything!

That's what I do and I'm petified too!!!!! :(

im really cruel but i sprayed one yesterday with cleaning fluid  i hate them and it melted
anyway the hoover idea is a good one!
good luck hun

I'm not even brave enough for the hoover!! Always have visions of missing them and it running straight at me!

Have just legged it upstairs in OH's trainers with an UMBRELLA!! Grabbed my stuff and back down. Horrible spider!

I don't like spiders but I have an agreemant with the one outside my bedroom widow, hes called bob and he eats all those minging daddy long legs, ive said as long as he stays out there killing the daddy long legs he can live.................. it seems to work :D

lol bet you all think im mad :rotfl:

I don't mind them in the garden as that's where they belong, but as soon as they intrude into MY house, they must DIE!!!!

personally i would ask a neighbour im sure someone would be glad to help :)

Hi

Im the same way last week i picked Kiara off the change table and there was a huge one underneath her that i hadent looked at before i put her down.. i screamed my dog ran up and tried chasing it but it hid behind the change table so i grabbed the case that holds Kiaras wiped and squished it then had to grab toilet paper and flush it ...yuck

when i see one i pick up the cats and take them to the offender and well they all make a little team up and catch it lol..same with moths i choose the lucky supercat of the night, pick him up and hold him to the ceiling and let him attack with his paws...then he gets to eat the offending moth!

I love my little fluffballs :D

I had THREE bif fat breeding *******s outside my front door, they are now covered in bleech cleaner

omg sami for a second i thought you meant cats lol!

Hahaha no, spiders missus
There is the most gorgeous cat who keeps coming to my house I haven't fed it, but I so wanna rob it

My cats are too lazy to lower themselves to killing a spider.

Brian just stares at them in disgust as if to say 'when you get as big as a mouse, I MIGHT consider you'

Big lazy balls of fur!!!

Saulino, I can't believe there was one on your change mat! That's my biggest fear. What if I see one on Stanley? What will I do? Am hoping mother's instinct will take over and I won't have time to think! :?
