Hi all,
I have just ended my first two week wait following an IUI. It was not successful and I am heartbroken. I will try again but will be looking into using a different clinic as I did not have the most positive experience with the one I chose.
Today I received a letter from them and it gave details of my treatment and of the donor sperm I used. I am not able to make sense of what it is telling me and wondered if anyone is able to help?
It states:
Initial Semen Parameters:
density = 34 million/ml
motility = 30%
morphology = 5%
After Preparation:
density = 35 million/ml
motility = 35%
Total number of sperm inseminated = 6.12 million.
My main question is how the density following washing could be MORE than that in the initial amount?
Also, are these stats good or bad? Would others' doctors have proceeded with treatment given these numbers?
Thank you for your help in advance. This is all new to me and as a single women it has been tough at times going through it alone. I am not done yet though!
