Hi, I've just been reading a site about healthy eating in pregnancy (I already know about it all, just felt like I wanted to read it all again and make sure I wasn't forgetting them all) and I noticed it said not to lick the spoon if you're baking cakes.

I've just been merrily eating my way through a tub of Ben and Jerrys, and then OH told me it had partially cooked cookie dough in it. I hadn't really thought about it, but checked the ingredients and it doesn't say the egg is pasteurized or anything.. but then surely the risk of people getting salmonella would stop a company as big as Ben and Jerrys even thinking about using uncooked egg?

What would you make of the ingredients (below)? Does it sound safe? :?

Would you read it as the eggs being uncooked? I'm not quite sure what to make of the ingredients label. I'm convinced now that the eggs aren't cooked, in which case my months of eating cremated eggs on my gammon have been pointless as I've been eating Ben and Jerrys all along. But surely they wouldn't risk Salmonella?!

haha
amongst everything else
about 20 packs of wine gums a day LOL

I ate loads of this when I was pregnant, its the most gorgeous ice cream ever!

I really want some now but the shops are shut :(
