Hope everyone had a lovely xmas, Ive come down with what I thought was going to be a cold/flu but has gone straight to my chest and has left me with a chest infection. Went to the hospital on boxing day and was given antibiotics which I have to take 4 times a day. Between them, the iron tablets Im supposed to be taking, and paracetamol for my temperature Im sure Im going to rattle soon. The antibiotics seem to have given an upset stomach, the coughing is putting strain on my stomach muscles so the top and bottom of my bump hurt, its also pressing the baby further into my bladder and Im scared Im going to start off labour with the coughing (bronchitis started my mother off 3 1/2 weeks early when she was having me!)
I was supposed to work friday, yesterday and tonight but theres no chance so Ive rang in sick for them all and Im not in until Thursday so hopefully Ill be feeling better by then. Ill be going back for my last 5 shifts as I finish a week thursday

I had a similar Xmas to yours - flu bug which turned into a chest infection and spent Boxing Day afternoon at the hospital getting antibiotics and then Boxing Day night was spent in A&E whilst they tried to help me breathe as Im asthmatic and had a dreadful attack!

Hope you are starting to feel human again.........sorry you too had a horrid Xmas too!!!
