Hello - Newbie

Hi Everyone,

I have just joined the forum and thought I would say hello on here.

We have been ttc for a while now with no luck. Originally came off the pill 20 months ago and it is proving to be very difficult!

For the last few months I have been charting my temperature to try and pin point ovulation. So we'll see.
My next step is to try the ovulation kits (have some waiting to try after xmas).
Then it will be to the docs.

I'm only 27 and hubby is 32. I didn't think it would be this hard to get pregnant.

I'm sure there will lots of others on here who are struggling and it would be nice to have others to talk to about it and also nice to hear about your successes.

Hi Chez

Welcome to the forum and lots of luck for that BFP soon! My advice from charting and using OPKs would be the OPKs I found the charting more useful to compare with OPKs (if doing both, I didn't always) and to watch my temp after ovulation. I used OPKs from day 9 every month.

Definatley try out the OPK's if you can, that will help so much

Thanks for the replies. I am really hoping that the OPK's do the job. My friend was trying for 10 months with no luck and the first month that she used a OPK she got pregnant.
I am holding off for a few months after xmas, just because I am thinking in my head if they don't work after a few tries then it will be to the docs which I am dreading.

Really don't want to have to go down the whole infertility treatment route (but would if we had too).

I am just getting a bit worried because it has been so long. I know I have small fibroid and I was told from an laparscopy in the past that I had an retroverted uterus. I was told that these wouldn't have any impact on gettign pregnant... but I do wonder??
