Hey people, my name is Lisa. I have just found out that myself and my hubbie are pregnant and to say I'm over the moon is an understatement however I'm also a bit nervous too. I have such a lot of questions but since we've not told anyone I've got no one to ask.

We got married in November and started TTC at the end of November when I got my implant taken out. We expected it to take a while and we were fine with that. To say I was shocked when I realised I was pregnant is an understatement. I've known since Monday that I was pregnant but I didn't actually do a test until last night which confirmed my suspicions. I can't believe how obvious it was to me that I was pregnant. We'll be 5 weeks gone tomorrow so I think my EDD is 15th October.

We're planning on visiting my Mum and Dad tonight to tell them but I'm not sure if its too early to say to anyone. I just don't think I can keep it a secret from them.

Hi Welcome and don't be nervous. I've not been on the forum long (I'm TTC) but everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Ask all the questions you want

 Welcome to the forum and congratulations! :yay: I couldn't keep it a secret from my family either! We did wait longer to tell everyone else but it's so lovely being able to share your news with someone! x

Aww SS that's so lovely that we could be date twins, hopefully we can catch up often on here. 15th of October seems so long away but I know the time will pass so quickly.

We told my Mum and Dad last night and they were so happy. My Dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in August and therefore things have been really rough for him and the family. Our wedding in November gave him something to look forward too but once that was past he felt a bit deflated but now with this its really given him something to aim towards. It makes me teary just thinking about it.

We told my husbands parents tonight and they are over the moon. It will be their first grandchild so its really exciting for them. My husband is an only child too so obviously we're the only opportunity for them to have grandkids.

Hopefully we'll tell my sister and best friend next week.

Thanks so much for the welcome everyone, its lovely.

So glad both sets of parents are so excited, and so lovely for your dad to have something else to look forward to as well  x
