I feel worse than I did in tri one, if I get hungry I get nauseated and if I eat I get terrible heartburn, I never had that with Darragh till the last few weeks.

Does certain foods cause heartburn that I could avoid maybe??

Awww hun

I'm exactly the same, I feel a lot worse than I did when I was in Tri 1. Eating anything at the moment is making me feel sick and I get the most awful heartburn when I do eat, so I can sympathise with you there.

I've got some gaviscon whih gives a bit of relief from the heartburn, and also just sipping water does help. Hope you feel better soon.

thats mad cos i have had a terrible day of this too. I have also been really tearful for no reason so think its probably hormone related
I do get really bad heartburn all the time though. I find pastry stuff really kicks it off, as does bread products.

I eat a lot of yoghurt at times like this cos that seems to help and its v refreshing.

I've had awful heartburn recently. My GP has prescribed Magnesium Trisilicate Mixture. She says that or Gaviscon liquid work euqally as well, both are safe to use. Both can be bought over the counter but Gaviscon is more expensive. The magnesium stuff you can get on repeat prescription, if you have your maternity card you won't need to pay for it.

i have been taking rennie fruits to relieve heartburn and indigestion. doesnt prevent it
i tend to get it worse at night so have to be careful not to eat too late
also, spicy foods seem to make it worse, which is a shame as i love my spicy food!

glad im not the only one (sorry ladies) - I definately find bread and chocolate, aggravate it so going to try and go easy on them to see if it helps

I suffer from heartburn as well and i use gaviscon... it doesnt always work and have found it only works if I take it as soon as I feel it coming on. Also if im eating something that I think will give me it then I take a spoonful just incase. Spicy food makes mine worse or if I havent ate in ages and then eat loads. My midwife told me to try and eat little and often rather then shoving 3 big meals into me as this works better with pregnancy and heartburn! its horrible isnt it?? I never had it till I got pregnant and have been in tears with it :(
