im a little concerned reading a post on this forum about a lady having a heart shaped uturus and having a miscarriage. i miscarried at 14.5 weeks and my family said "awww look youve got a heart shaped uterus" i didnt think anything of it cause all my ultrasound techs never said a thing. but does anyone know if i should seek advise or what? thanks ladys xxx

I have one and it was never considered a reason for my miscarriages. It can be a cause of unknown bleeding apparently, and possible preterm labour I think but that's all I know. I've had one healthy full/post-term pregnancy and this one hasn't been affected either as far as I'm aware xx

thanks for the reply! we are trying again so im obsessing about everything! xxx

Hi Charli, do you mean my post?

Please don't be concerned. A heart shaped uterus doesn't always end up with miscarriage/prem labour. I'd never even heard of it before my scan. I think I have a weak cervix too.

It's just with my history they are looking into everything.

Take care, Vicky xx

thanks for the reply. im wondering if i should mention it anyway, maybe prevent another miscarriage. im terrified it will happen again. my family dont have a very good history with carrying children. xxx
