Hayfever

Hi everyone!

Does anyone else suffer from hayfever? This is my first pregnancy and I am 6w1d today.

We've not told anyone yet so I have nobody to talk to about it!

I'm really suffering at the moment with hayfever and nausea which is a horrible combination! Just wondered if anyone else has taken anything for hayfever? Advice online seems to be mixed.

I have my first GP appointment tomorrow but I am just feeling so rough so after some advice! I've taken paracetamol as have a splitting headache!

From what I remember, I think you may be allowed to use a nasal spray rather than take medication for hay fever

With the headaches, keep yourself hydrated. I have to drink so much to keep them at bay x

Prevailn​ is safe to take during pregnancy. It's a nasal spray that's medicine free. I'd recommend the standard one rather than prevalin plus as that one really stings!

Hope you find something that works for you, hayfever is horrible at the best of times!

I've been taking prevalin plus as it's more effective for me but it gives you a congested feeling at the back of your nose which doesn't help my nausea.
I remember my GP last prescribing pirinase last time and eye drops. But if you look at their labels it does say to consult a doctor before use.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I have bought some Prevalin and am amazed by how effective it is. Feel lots better!

I use beconaze spray - was allowed to in my previous pregnancy too.
