Hey girlies,

Have been noticing over the last four weeks or so that my hair line at the front is slightly thinning, I'd even go so far to say it was slightly receeding. Is this normal? Am really worried that I'm going to end up bald! Irrational I know but could this happen?

Why is my hair thinning at the front?

I'd really appreciate any advice

My hair fell out loads with all of my pregnancies

i think it is perfectly normal, but if you are worried about it check with your MW or GP

Hey Jo,

Thanks for your response. Did your hair fall out during your pregnancy or afterwards? I spoke to my midwife and she just told me to change my parting  that made me really cross as she wasn't really listening to me :(

my hair fell out loads ofter my pregnancy, hoping it doesnt happen thsi time :(

try not to worry hun

Angelfairy, mine fell out during and afterwards but it wasn't that noticeable
i mean loads used to fall out but it still looked full, if you get what i mean
I'd go see your Gp if your MW is not listening

I have exactly the same, its due to the hormones :( I do have very thick hair so noone else notices but I really can. I have bought some hair loss shampoo and treatment from ebay but you can't use it while pregnant but I plan to use it afterwards as it will prevent any permanant loss. Mine is also at the front, I think we are part of the unlucky few, I swear these pregnancy hormones really don't agree with me! Fisrst I had chronic sickness, now OC and also hair loss and they are all thought to be reactions to pregnancy hormones! People are finally starting to blieve me when I say this will be my only pregnancy!

Crap isn't it

Thank you all for your responses. I have changed my parting to the side so that I am less conscious of it. Still taking all the vitamins and minerals so hopefully my hair will recover within the next year
