Both of ours is!!!

Mine is seriously coming out in clumps, do you think that is normal?

Isabella is developing a very nice Monk look - ah bless her.

My mum used to have really thick hair until after she had me. Maybe the same thing is happening to you? I hope it doesn't happen to my hair as I like it being thick.

Unfortunately I have always had fine hair and when I was pregnant it was lovely. I spoke to my hairdresser at the weekend and she said that I am just losing the hair that didnt fall out during pregnancy and that we all actually have a little hair loss coming from summer to winter. I do believe this but I am literally pulling out clumps when Im washing it - Im abit worried

my hair fell out loads with my 1st pregnancy and i mean huge big clumps and i had 2 bald patches i was so worried, only lasted a couple months, after this baby my hair is falling out a bit but not as much 1st time round.
Try not 2 worry hun im sure it will sort it self out

Yes both mine and his hair fell out at the same stage you're at and I was freaked out too! Last time I went to the hairdresser she pointed out all of this baby hair on my head that had started growing at the time I was losing it- because it all happened at the same time it looked strange on my fringe as there's a little line of hair all the same length about half way up! Aren't our bodies odd! Elliott looked just like a monk when he lost his- he was quite fat at the time too so he looked like Friar Tuck! He's thinner and has hair now though so it all changes!

It's normal, all the pregnancy mags say that your hair may well fall out 3-6 months after having a baby.

My hairdress warned me about this. Mine is settling down now but it was unbelievable the rate that it was falling out. I have quite thick hair and it always malts a lot but even I was getting afraid.

Your hair stops falling out about 5/6 months into pregnancy as the cycle of it growing and malting meets up. Hence the big malting session now.

Isaac lost the little hair he had at the back too, he's hardly got any hair bless him.

i lost loads. someone told me you dont lose any or much hair when pg and then lose lots after the baby due to hormones x

Yes i lost loads too, the only thing now is that its all growing back and i have new hair growing all over my head !! its a nightmare trying to do anything with it as i have these short pieces and little tuffs sticking out everywhere !!!

Can I just ask- I have been so distraught for the past few weeks as my hair is coming out rapidly. All round the house I am finding long hairs-can your hair still fall out when baby is 7 months (she is now 8 but started when 7). I have convinced myself I have alopecia, at this rate I will be bald. My mum has noticed my hair has thinned soo much.

I have the hairdressers tomorrow to get my long hair chopped off.

Its reassuring to know you have all been in the same position

Hi

This is really normal scared the crap outta me thought i was going bald ide have clumps and clumps of it i was crying in the shower, i eventually had to clean the drainage cuz it got clogged it was real gross, my hair loss just settled down now. Hope it settles for you its a nasty part of having a baby.
