Did I read somewhere, or did I dream it ?? That you aren't supposed to get your hair highlighted while pregnant ? Surely this is a little OTT, no ??

I have an appointment in a fortnight... wondering if I have to cancel it...

I got my hair done all through my pregnancy with my son and will again this time. I think it's just a risk your hair might take differently to the colour but won't affect the baby. My hairdresser has always said it's fine! I can't imagine the state my hair would be in if I didn't get it done  xx

A lot of people on here have said they do it :)
I need to do mine soon, but I'm pretty hesitant

I'm getting my hair done on sat, but I think you're generally supposed to avoid it in tri1. I might be wrong though :)

I've had my hair highlighted and changed colour during pregnancy, my hairdresser said it was fine - so far no problems!

I was told by my acupuncturist (fertility expert) that having foil highlights where the bleach doesn't actually touch the head is fine, but box colours or full head colour is an issue. She also said to avoid salons where you are sitting for long periods where there are a lot of fumes from colouring. She said they should be avoided just like paint fumes. Fortunately my hairdresser works from home so mine was the only colour being done and foils only so not a problem..but hopefully this helps you make a judgement on your own situ! x
