Had first scan!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!

Its a real person in there making me fat and moody and eat far too much!

I am 18 weeks pregnant according to the scan lady so i need to change my ticker as im due week later than i thought i was.

14th september is my due date and i have another scan booked in 3 wees so they can check everything over. The babys head is HUGE!! C-section please!

I will figure out how to get it on here asap but i just wanted to let you all know that things re ok so far and thanks for all your support and advice over getting that scan asap.xx

i know, i am but its because i waited sooooooooo long for my first scan, i went to the docs at 7 weeks then had to wait ages to see the midwife then had to wait ages again for a dating scan, they had to book me in as an emergency.

im so glad ive seen my baby, its so strange. i cant believe its real!

she said she couldnt see certain partsof the face and bottom of the spine very well, she said shed check them at the next scan but this made me worry. is it normal that she wants to double check things?

aw congrats hun glad all went well. Don't worry about her not being able to see parts of the baby. I had that at my 20 week scan - the baby was shy and wouldn't show us its face so I going back neext week for another go. Think of it as a bonus you get an extra scan.

Hi Grace - Congratulations on your scan. So glad the sorted it for you

Don't worry about having to go back. At my 19 week scan they couldn;t see baby's face or check his kidney's properly, I had to go back at 21 weeks once baby had moved a little and everything was fine.

Just try and look at it like a bonus, you get to see your baby al over again pretty soon

Really pleased you finally got to see your baby Grace - it's amazing isn't it? As the others have said I would look on the next scan as them making up for missing out on an earlier scan. In pregnany they're very honest so if it was something to worry about I'm sure they would have said

glad to see you finally got your scan

don't worry about having to go back, with my last pregnancy they couldnt see all the chambers of the heart clearly and so asked me to go back a wk later, all was fine with me and im sure it will be the same with you

did you find out the sex or will you next time??
