growth spurt already??

do babies have a growth spurt around 1 month old??
omg she wont stop feeding!!
i dont know where she's putting it all

I think my little man has already had one of those!!! He was born at 7lb 12oz and at 6 days old he weighed 8lb 9oz and at 13 days he weighed 9lb 7oz. And I am breast feeding

I couldn't believe it and I was convinced the scales were wrong I just hope he slows down now surly he can't continue to put on a pound a week can he????

They do grow loads hun and put a lot of weight on in the first 8 weeks. I think its one big growth spurt.

If you look at the weight chart in your red book you can pretty much see the level at which they gain weight. Same with their length. Isaac was always more sleepy when he was having a growth spurt. Remember kim she may also get thirsty so you can offer her cooled boiled water between feeds

At 15 days lil miss was around 8lb10 and 53cm. Two weeks later she was 11lb8oz and 58cm so thats a lot of work done in the first month

yep, the first weeks they seem to have a huge growth spurt. She'll start spreading the feeds out again when it slows down.

And remember that they tend to lose a little weight after they are born so they can be playing catch up to their birth weight for a while
