sorry I haven't been able to get on over the weekend to let you all know how the growth scan went on Friday but I seem to have had a manic weekend!
Anyway.......the ANC was completely empty when we got there (20 minutes early!! ) and we were called straight in
The sonographer was really nice and asked us straight away if we already knew or wanted to check the sex of the baby, we said we didn't!! We've waited this long we can wait that little bit more now. Because of that she avoided that area all together for us which was really nice.
She measured the baby's head, tummy and leg length and told us that the estimated weight of the baby at the minute is............................. 7lbs 1oz I was sooooo chuffed. I thought anything under 8lbs would be good so just over 7 was brilliant news.
That means if babies put on roughly 1/2lb a week then we're look at 8 - 8 1/2lbs if we go full term which is great news because I should still be able to get my homebirth now
I can't wait to tell my miserable MW when I see her on Wednesday she'll be gutted, although she'll probably try and come up with another reason why I should have a hospital birth now!
Here's the profile pic of my 37 + 3 bean (sorry it's not brilliant but baby is just way too big to get a good photo of now) It's got it's little hand up by it's chin
