I am starting to worry about my growth scan on Monday...We were told he is on the normal side of small just about and have been told we will be having scans every 4-6 weeks to check on his growth. In one way I am so looking forward to seeing him again but worried how his growth is going.

when M/W felt him at 25 weeks she said he was a small baby so have a pretty good idea he is still going to be small but guess I'll just have to stress my way through the weekend.

Do they mean he's small enough to be in danger of being poorly or just a small baby?

Im sure it'll be fine, he's still got plenty of time to grow. At your 20 week scan did they not mention anything?

At least you get to see him again :)

I'm sure all will be ok - he's snug as a bug in there and will be growing all the time. Even though he is making you throw everything back up  (the naughty monkey) my MW told me babies will always take what they need before the mother gets anything. So he will be getting the nutrition and energy he needs from you before you get a look in...

I just looked at Libby's notes, and her head measurement on the anomoly scan was on the larger side of average - eek!!! Oh bugger.....I don't have anymore scans, so I'll be praying Dyalns grows nicely for you, and Libby's heads gets in proportion!!

well it was at the 20 week scan they found he was small ...everything else was ok though so I guess we will know more after the scan.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, a doctor told me my baby was a touch on the large side and that I would go full term with her. Worried wasn't the word.

About 8 hours later, I went into labour and gave birth 11 days early, to a 5lb 10oz baby!

Just goes to show they are never sure til it pops out...

meezie...Did m/w think it was a big baby aswell...Someone else I know was told by docs there baby was small but M/w kept saying it was fine and they had a 7LB 40z baby but my m/w has said mine is small aswell

Hi Cloud 9,

I really wouldn't worry about having a small baba, mine ended up quite small at birth, and they're both fine and healthy.

I'm only 5ft 1" don't know if that had anything to do with it.

back from scan....

Dylan is growing he is still on the small side head and abdonimally but in line with the growth line, his legs have had a growth spurt so he is gonna be long and scrawny like his Daddy lol.

There was a trace of prootien in my urine so they have sent off a urine sample and i have to see obstrician and have another scan in 3 weeks time so get to see LO again.

Dylan was as normal quiet when he had his scan .I ate some turkish delight befor ei left to try wake him up. He was sleeping with hand over his face so couldn't see his face....he looks a lot more squashed than last time. We could get a scan pic as she couldn't really get a decent pic .

Anyhow much happier now i Know he is growing.
