I have made an appointment to ask to be referred to a fertility clinic. I didnt want to do this but I have real concerns that something is wrong. I have seen a gynae about my period problems and was treated quite poorly and nothing was ever diagnosed. I refuse to see him again, he was awful so with some luck I can see someone else this time.

I know for a fact with the issues I experience there is definitely something amiss with me- the ultrasound & TV scan all apparently show nothing but I just dont believe it.

While I am afraid of what might be said, I do hope I get some answers one way or the other. Maybe they will be able to diagnose something and help me work towards getting pregnant. I need help desperately and need someone to take me seriously

Has anyone else found themselves in this situation and got a BFP eventually?

Horrific periods, they were every 2 weeks now my cycle is between 70-100 days long. Always very heavy periods, flooding with lots of big clots and immense pain. I frequently have 'ov' pain all month round and cramps too- the joy! Last year I really should have gone to A&E it was the worst of my life but working in the NHS I know how much pressure they are under. I have had an ultrasound and a TV scan but neither apparently found anything. I think a laparoscopy or some such would be better to be honest

What are you going through? I am sorry to hear that about the smear, although I know that many samples can give abnormal cells as a result and its nothing to worry about. When will you know more about the smear results? I hope it goes well x

That sounds so awful, it must drain you physically and emotionally! They are there to help. Don't ever feel guilty, it's not like you are a persistent antibiotics requester who's in the gp surgery ever week.

My situation basically, I have been having a lot of pain, sometimes around OV but then just randomly some pulling and stabbing pain that are enough to make me wince. I feel like elastic bands in my ovary area when I'm laying down, or sometimes when I'm walking or cough. I'd been symptom spotting every month hoping it's Implantation or OV or something. Now, I got my results back from the smear saying abnormal cells, and it's playing on my mind all these pains could be related. Booked my colposcopy for the 22nd. Got the docs later today to discuss the pains x

Good luck with the appointment I hope they are looking into it seriously. I hope the colposcopy gives some info to help you, its no fun at all is it being in such pain all the time. Its understandable that you will worry but fingers crossed that it will be just an anomoly

It hurts when I cough at times too or sneeze, I am starting to wonder if it might be something like abdo adhesions as that can cause problems conceiving. I have a tender place to the left of my belly button and it feels like a very deep bruise that hurts inside too if that makes sense?

Probably getting a bug too because I am so dizzy too, just went food shopping with my husband and I had to stand still, I was so dizzy and felt sick briefly. I was burning up despite standing in the middle of Iceland- he said that I was very pale and ill looking which was great. Still dizzy and warm now I am home x

Please get yourself booked in, sounds like its impacting your quality of life not to mention your fertility. I bet if any nurse read this they'd be mad you haven't gone in x

I have already seen a gynae at the hospital but he was awful with me, I have an appointment with the GP to get another referral to see somebody else. The doctors have so far not been interested even with my very strong family history of cancer x

That's so shocking to hear :(
I had my doctors appointment yesterday, never seen this one before. He was amazing! He's booked me in for bloods and an ultrasound to put my mind at ease about cysts. I was so relieved, my doctors are normally appalling! I hope you have some better luck on your next appointment. Have you a walk in doctors or anything? If yours don't take you seriously maybe go to one of them, you want a second opinion x

:hugs: aaawww Sparklegirl! It sounds like you are having such a tough time love. I hope you start to feel better and that the GP you see next will treat you well and find the reason for all this discomfort so that you and your hubby can have the long awaited baby you both long for. You are in my prayers so much xxxx
