I had an appointment with the a consultant yesterday because baby's been breech since about 26 weeks. He said baby is definitely head down now, don't know whether midwife got it wrong or if baby turned (I had a really uncomfortable night on Saturday, so think it might have turned then?) but we are back to normal!!!

I'm back to being low risk and providing all stays well should be able to get my homebirth.

We got a very quick scan but they were running 1 1/2 hours behind on appointments so we literally just saw the top of the head and the heart.

Quick question - the consultant wrote 'cephalic 5/5' in my notes. I know cephalic is head down, does 5/5 mean it's not engaged yet?

Yay! :cheer: Great news! :cheer:

Yup my notes say ceph and I know he's head down

the heading on my next section is fiths palpable and mine states free.

I would imagine that 5/5 is free too as palpable actually means..capability of being touched/felt.

Hope this helped.

Higher the number the less engaged baby is so 1/5 is near fully engaged and 5/5 is he's in the right place but not made it into the pelvic bowl just yet :)

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: yay thats great news hun glad it went well for you xxxxxxxxx

So glad LO has moved round.

Good luck for the home birth plans now
