Hi, new member here :D

My friends and I are looking to buy a birthday gift for our 7 and a half month pregnant friend. She mentioned to me the other day she is starting relaxation classes as her doc thinks the reason for her high blood pressure is due to stress. We therefore thought some pampering/relaxing gifts would be nice. So far I have bought her a voucher for a Clarins pre and post natal face and body treatment and we have another £60 to spend between us.

If anyone could recommend something nice I would be very grateful. I was thinking that a lavender bath/body set would be nice and a lavender heat cushion thing but I'm mindful of the fact that I need to be careful what I get is suitable for mums to be and nursing mums.

Thanks

CB

I just posted a topic about Sanctuary Spa Mum to Be range, I was given some products this week as a birthday gift-bath soak and a massive tub of body cream....It smells delicious (I am a huge fan of Sanctuary products anyway) but the Mum to Be range is designed to relieve stress too, and help with stretch marks.

Had a bath and then smothered myself in cream two nights on the run now, and had such deep sleeps that I feel fantastic!!

Boots sell it I think xxxxxxxxx

I used to work for Body Shop and they do an amazing range called Spa Wisdom, based on bathing rituals from Africa and Asia.

It's really luxurious and a bit more expensive than you would spend on yourself, each item is about £10 or there are sets for £30 ish.

The esseintial oils in it are suitable for pregnancy.

P.s risks associated with Lavender oil are potential inducement of miscarriage so should be avoided in first trimester particularly, no problems for nursing mums though.

Thats very true, Lavendar oil is a big no no! think its to do with how strong it is. Think it affects the development of the baby.

and Hi by the way  you sound like a great friend!!

All my friends seem to want to buy me is tena lady  lmao!
