Getting started with paypal

Okay... got the account set up and added bank details but now they're saying they want to send me some money to verify my account! The only way they'll verify the account is if I click to agree to a direct debit instruction. Has anyone seen this direct debit page recently in order to verify their account and is it safe to click on?! I don't want to be agreeing to anything I shouldn't be

Hmmmm cant say i saw that...

all they id with me was send 2 small payments to me, like5p and 12p something like that and then i had to go back into my accont to say the amounts and date of the amounts.

i never had to do this but it may have changed since i joined

Yes they do this, it is genuine. They did this with us about 3 years ago.

Yeah they do this now. They will transfer two small amounts into your account that only you can know, to prove its yours. They put 10p and 20p into my account and i had to verify it will Paypal. It takes a few days for the small amounts of money to go in so you'll have to keep checking
