my sister has asked me to post on this. she has been diagnosed with GE and was just wondering what the syptoms are in a baby. her boy is 4 months old and she says his poos were a bit watery yesterday but is straining to go today and hasnt managed to do anything. she has been making sure he gets plenty of fluids. the doc didnt seem too concerned, he just said he will most likely catch it and for her to watch out for it and to take him to docs if he does begin to display symtoms.

I have told her to phone nhs direct if she gets concerned.

thank you

Hi, Emma had this a couple of months ago. The symptoms are high temperature, vomiting, diahreoa, sleepiness, stomach cramps. The main danger is dehydration so make sure they are getting plenty of fluids, if they can't keep fluids down for 6 hours or more then get to a doctor.
Hope this helps
