i seem to remember a couple of people mentioning that they have had theirs removed... I have a question that i forgot to ask the doc last week when they where deciding what to do with me:

Will i need to change my diet after they remove my gall bladder?

i just want to be able to eat cheese again!

Hi Honey,

It is best too eat less fat in general..something to do with the way bile enters your intestine after it is removed.... it drips into intestine constantly in smaller amounts rather than bladder squeezing bile out to break down fats as and when needed...so fats may not be broken down or absorbed as effectively.
I just eat normally and have cheese etc and have had no problems at all for 9 years....I should perhaps start eating much more healthily though to keep my digestive system healthy in older age.

Good luck with your op, hope it all goes well
