Poor Jake has had really bad constipation, he has been passing logs that would hurt an adults bum! It happened mid-week last week, then he went really sloppy, even watery at one point. Three days ago they went really hard again and causing him a lot of pain and even caused him to bleed a bit from his bottom. I took him to the GP last night, he felt Jakes tum and wasnt worried, said it is soft and doesnt cause him pain when he prods his tum. He said the bleeding is due to straining and we should up his fiber intake and plenty of fruit juice. We gave him weetabix for supper last night and this morning he has had 3 poos (one on his walker :puke: ) and now they are gong sloppy again.

Is it normal to go from one to the other. OH says it is his body trying get it right ikwim. Just after a bit of reassurance really

I've experienced that with mine and its hard to judge how much fibre we should be giving them. It should settle down hun. I'm sure banana is a good one for this (someone correct me if i'm wrong tho)
