does the weather/temperature affect them?
During the day it works fine, but then after 9/10pm-ish I can't watch it, it all breaks up and goes black.. but it only happens at night

yeh it can do, depends on the kind of arial youve got. if its on the roof the wind/rain etc can affect that. which affect your signal x
