Morning,

Well I have woken up on my birthday with horrible sickness which I think is food poisioning. I went out for dinner last night and I han't stopped being sick since 7 this morning, t's completeley different to MS though.

I am miserable, I have my mother visiting so we can't do anything at all.

What shold I do about the food poisioning??? I know it can be harmfull to LO so I really want to make sure I do everything I can.

Alex xx

hi hun, happy bday

sorry you're feeling so rubbish :(

make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids, you will lose a lot being sick, so you need to replace them quickly.

if you start to feel weaker, i would give your m/w a ring because you may end up dehydrated, and sometimes they like to keep an eye on pregnant ladies with food poisoning etc in hospital.

hope you're feeling better soon sweetie

oh poor you especially on your birthday :(

ahhhhh sounds horrible and nasty.
Hope you start to feel better soon hun xxx

Sorry to hear you are unwell on your birthday :(

Food poisoning usually comes with other side effects. Stomach cramps, diarrhoea and nausea and you can feel quite rotten because of it.

Sounds to me like you may have a tummy bug, there are lots going round atm. I'd keep hydrated, maybe try some dry toast at lunchtime and have a day at home. Don't eat anything milk based.

Stomach bugs tend to be 24-48 hours and most cases of mild food poisoning last about the same also.

Hope you feel better soon.

Oh no, what a horrible thing to happen on your birthday!

Have you seen your doctor? I would to be on the safe side, as they always advise caution with these things. Hope you feel better soon xxx

Well I've spoken to the midwife and she just said clear fluids and take it easy, so long as it doesn't last more than 48 hours. It's a miserable old thing this, I'm struggling to keep water down at the minutes but hopefully that'll pass pretty soon.

Thanks for the advise and fingers crossed for a better birthday next year.

A x
