my mum and dad wanna go to spain next yr which means flying never flown before and im scared stiff lol!!
i was just wondering wot happens about Braydon do i take his car seat or wott?? hell prob be bout 20 months

I took sophie just after her 1st birthday and she just had to sit on our knees. Dont worry about flying u will be fine hun, i hate flying but i just think of the great holiday i will have when i get there

flying is great! I've been doing it like FOREVER and Beth and Tom have!

Lo will just sit on your lap and you'll have an extendable seat belt for him.

we went with hannah in october and to be honest she hated it because she had to sit down and be held, but she is not a baby for sitting.
we r going to wait another 2 years before we try again

Why are you scared stiff if you've never done it before?

Think of it as an adventure. You'll be fine. The flights quick & will be over before you know it. B will sit on your lap unless you buy a seat for him but probably not worth it on such a short flight. You can take a forward facing car seat on the aircraft if you like, are you hiring a car over there? The car hire company would provide you with one (probably at a charge) if you need one, if you're not hiring a car its not worth the extra luggage, lugging it around will be a right pain.

i think im so scared coz i seen so many films where planes have gone down i know its so silly lol

i understand how scary it must seem to fly for the first time...alot of people are scared when they have never done it before

I fly alot and it will be fine, give B a drink in a cup he has to suck on for taking off and landing so there is less chance of the pressure giving him an ear ache...

It's far safer to fly than it is to travel by car!
Flying is awesome hun - I admit the bit where the plane goes really fast along the runway just before it takes off is a LITTLE daunting, but that part lasts literally about 30 seconds.
Flying is great - everything looks like little dolls houses and stuff - and then when you get above the clouds it's like flying over fluffy candyfloss

Sarah, I know what you mean. I hate flying! I can't believe I have been on so many flights, I even flew to Australia on my own when I was 19 I wouldn't do it now!
My OH's family all work for airlines and constantly reassure me. Most accidents happen doing take off or landing, so if you get up you're normally safe and sound! Also just imagine how many hundreds of thousands of flights take off everyday all around the world...............compared to crashes, is nothing. I always remind myself of this as I'm flying 30,000 feet in the air!
