Now I know this weaning business is messy, and there will be accidents etc but sadly my dining room is carpeted (cream carpet). It has just been professionally cleaned as my cat was sick in there twice so I'd like it to remain clean for a little while at least.

What do you put on the floor? The splash mats I have seen are too small at 90x90cm in mothercare.

I am considering a shower curtain

a cheap shower curtain that goes into the washing machine!

Shower curtain is probably your best bet, luckily for me I have Lino & 2 dogs so only have to worry if it goes up the walls or on the fishtank lol

I have lino in my living room. So never needed them but do understand the need of bigger mats as they are so small yet they charge so much x

Vicky do you have a dunelm near you?

Just this afternoon I've been to get some PVC tablecloth stuff from there- they do it on a roll

I got a more expensive one for us (cos I liked the pattern) and a cheaper one for at my mums as we're there once a week

The green one was £9.99 for a metre length

The red one is thinner ( more like shower curtain plastic) but was only £2.99 for a metre

They do loads of patterns in both the £2.99 and £9.99 a metre range- and you can get half metres too (ie 1.5 metres if you thought Tilly. Had a good throw on her!!!

Our rug is fine it's our bloody ceiling that gets it. And cos it's textured its a pain in the arse to clean!

Uh oh. My oh will be mad. He thinks I spend too much money in Dunelm as it is! Now I have a legitimate excuse to go today!! Ha ha!

We got ours from the Early Learning Centre, they are really thick, I bought one for about £5 when LO was in highchair & was still using it for under her painting stuff when she was 4.

Infact - here's the exact one...its £4. Its alot bigger than it looks
