Hey
My poor little girl I've been taking her to see a chiropractor as she has only been holding her head to one side and will only sleep that way too. She has over a 90 degree turn on one side, but can only turn to the left approx 45 degrees (it should be 90).
Each appointment costs me £20 (it's cost me £80 this week alone) and I'm skint. But now the chiropractor is worried as Ella really has a very stiff neck so she is concerned that there is a problem. If things don't improve in the next couple of sessions then she said that she will refer her to the hospital for an x-ray.
I'm really annoyed as the only advice I was given by the HVs was that everyone's head is lumpy, or 'don't you prefer to lie on one side when you sleep'. Unfortunately it is quite flat on one side and has been causing her lopsidedness in her face (my mum mentioned weeks ago that she thought Ella had a swollen cheek, but I didn't twig until the chiro said that they aim for facial symmetry in girls when trying to help with the neck problems).
It's horrible as she really finds it distressing going to the chiro and I am worried there is more to come Plus she's not feeling all that well today and has been really grumpy/tired. Feel really sorry for her
