few questions

Hi girls
I read something about follow on milk is no good n you should keep them on the one before until they r one as follow on is not as filling n too sweet for them? I really don't know, I just bought it when Noa was 6 month as it says 6 month on them? (i use cow n gate)

Also. We r doin blw n Noa is doing well he eats everything. But how much milk does he need now, I just need an idea as I give him roughly 2 bottles a day n then I breastfeed him but he's not too intrested in my boobs anymore, is this cuz he's not needing as much milk or is he just loosing intrest in me?

I have stayed on the first milk, Chloe has upto 18oz of milk a day, I think it is recommended that they have 20oz a day but that can include yoghurts, cheese etc x

i posted a thread about follow on milk, and from all the advice i got i decided to stay on the original formula. he has cow & gate hungry. i was out one day and hadnt got any milk and bought a carton of cow and gate follow on and LO threw it all up!! up until a month or so he was feeding alot but now he usually has about 28oz in 24hours 4 x7oz bottles, but varies from 14-21oz
too!!! i just go with the flow... today for example-.

5am... 7oz
10am breakfast made with 2oz
13pm lunch
17pm 3oz

he will have tea now and then hopefully 70z before bed.. he has hardly drank any milk though
its hot here atm and he has had a good amount of water but doesnt seem keen on bottles!! i would deffo reccomend sticking to the orginal milk rather than going to follow on!!!

^^^ yes Owen is the same, morning feed dropped now and milk during day avaergaes about 20oz but sometimes less. Sometimes only want 3oz in afternoon, We're BLW too and he varies with food and milk intake fromd ay to day (although def putting a lot more grub away now!!)

Our hv said the follow on milk is a gimmick and use the formula from infant age if we wanted but we were alredy on 6 months plus milk so sticking with that. (aptimil)

As far as the bfing, maybe Noa realsies it comes out much easier from the bottle compared to boob and is feelign Lazy? Owen did that and started rejecting boob until we ended up just on bottles.

Sometimes he dives for my boobs or pull my top down n sometimes he just eat for a min then get more intrested in something else going on around him. Well I will have to trust he knows what he needs but I will swap back to hungry baby xx

i moved to the follow on milk (aptamil) because it wasnt as filling lol i wanted her to treat it more as a drink than a meal so she wud up her food and reduce her milk lol she is now on toddler milk approx. 14 ozs a day xx

im going to switch amelia to follow on milk as i struggle to get her to drink the quantity of milk she should be having and i always have struggled with that and with aptamil follow on milk they only need 7ozs a day x
