Hey girls,

I am completely blocked up and I have the sorest of throats ever, it hurts even to talk and I couldn't sleep last night because its so sore, its making me feel a bit sick actually. I also have a banging headache and my whole body aches like crazy from top to bottom. At first I thought it was my hayfever but it can't be because I feel sooooo ill :( :(
Sorry for the long moan everyone, I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself.
Also does anyone know if its ok to use thrush cream (sorry  ) whilst pregnant? Thankyou for listening and hope you lot are all well

Re thrush creams:

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pessaries and creams are not well absorbed into the body’s circulation and are therefore unlikely to affect a developing foetus, but there has been little research into their use during pregnancy. Treatments with clotrimazole have been used by pregnant women for years and are considered safe. But iodine-based pessaries, such as betadine for recurrent thrush, should not be used during pregnancy. Some experts advise against using econazole during the first three months of pregnancy. If you are pregnant and have thrush, talk to your doctor or midwife about treatment.

I found that out after having it (thrush) for the first time this week :(

Thankyou everyone for your lovely messages. I'm still feeling very rough and I haven't had a cold like this in years so I think its making up for lost time! Found it so hard to get up for work this morning :(

Nicky B - Thankyou for the information on thrush creams. Its a nasty infection isn't it? I hate it!

    some hugs to make you feel better.

Get plenty of rest and fluids inside you and hopefully you'll be back on feet soon.

I had bad thrush when I first got pregnant and asked the pharmasist if I could use canesten and was told no unless I'd spoken to the doctor first. Apparently the doctor thinks it's fine but luckily it cleared up of it's own accord so I didn't need any!

Aww Laura  Sorry you're feeling poorly hun. Hope you feel right as rain again soon! xx
