God, i'm feeling really guilty at the mo. & poor little Jamie must be thinking i'm such a horrid Mummy.

I was on here, J was in his cot & started crying, he had been for a good couple of mins before I went in to check on him & the poor little thing had brought up some milk which had collected in his ear & soaked the back of his head, hair & sleepsuit.
I just thought he was having a whinge for the sake of whinging.

Nicki - an unfit parent :(

DON'T BE SILLY!! your not an unfit parent!!!

We've all done it hun, Stop worrying  :D

At least you were at home and didn't have your ex in law inform you that your baby had thrown up and had a puddle in her ear. Blimey hun if that is the mark of a bad mother then social services are going to be kept very busy!!!! Wait til you bash your babies head off the door and they have a bruise (I swear she only bruised to spite me and make me feel even more guilty) xx

Oh don't, think i'd die of guilt. I know i'm being a silly sod but I even feel guilty if he's laying in his moses basket & is just looking around (not crying or anything) I keep thinking he must be bored or lonely etc. I annoy myself sometimes, does this feeling ever go away?

I've also just had a mare, had to give him a bath coz of his soggy head & decided to take his baby bath out of our tub as its easier on my back, when I wondered why my knees were getting wet to find that J had managed to flick up the plug with is feet & most of the water is happily flowing out onto the carpet, have a rather large wet patch now. DH should never have gone back to work, i'm a hinderance!!

Sorry nicki but i had to giggle at the thought of all the water gushing out of jamies bath

i am very much in favour of letting them whinge for a bit before you go in and i've lost count of the times i've found alex in a puddle of sick - and he's a tummy sleeper so has usually rubbed his face in it lol. you aint seen nothing till youve seen a baby with white sicky eyebrows! he doesnt seem to care too much - usually grins when i go in which makes him look even funnier - wicked mother

and the other day i was on here and sat at the desk with him when he did his new arching my back and throw myself backward trick. i wasnt ready for it and he banged his head on the edge of the desk :( bless him, wasnt impressed with that! came up in a right lump too.

we cant be there every second and even when we are accidents happen - you're only human hun!

Dont let it get to you Nicki, these things really do happen to all of us.
We have all done it. Just think he's not crying because he was in pain or neglected he's just calling you saying "hey mum iv puked"

Im terrified the day Aimee does have a bash or falls over etc. Iv nearly dropped her so many times

Take care#

nikki thats happened to me many times but trust me its not bad iv done worse

Dior was having a moan when she was 8weeksold i let her grunt for and whinge for a few mins then when i checked on her she had stop breathing  !!!!!!!!!!!

my 3 yr oldbrother gave her a sweet. amberlance came finaly got her breathing after about 5mins
so if your a unfit parent.... what does that make me???????????

sometimes i have to leave molly crying for a few mins with three little ones if im in the middle of something i have to let her whinge and get to her as quick as i can.
dont feel bad he won't think any less of you, i cant count the amount of times ive felt awful for something ive done my first baby jake slept in bed with me one night and i must of moved him breastfeeding to the edge of the bed and fell asleep, i woke up to a thud and he was on the floor crying i was in tears took him to the hospital and everything he was fine he was three months at the time, but i never took jake or my second kye in bed with me after that i totally freaked.

i think everyone has done this - cos babies just like a little whinge occasionally so its hard to check them for every noise.

Eva was crying a few times and i realised the bib was over her face!!

the other day i was pushing her in her pushchair and she was whinging. I thought she just wanted out but when i checked her she had a green fly walking accross her forehead  how frustrating and tickly that must have been!! poor thing xx
