So I switched my lo at 2 weeks old to Aptamil from SMA gold. I use the pre made instead of powder for convenience. I have occasionally used powder but mainly use cartons & 1 litre bottles. However yesterday I was running low on cartons so made up some powder bottles to see us through the evening & last night. He seemed to struggle taking these, gulped more than usual & was a lot more sick after each feed. It's taken me several hours to settle him this morning & his nappy was runnier & a grainy consistency.
He was really quite sick after his last feed & was crying a lot. It was projectile but just a lot of milk - I peddled his legs to get him to poo as he was crying & his belly looked really full. This made him go.
Anyway do you think this is due to switching from pre made to powder? I'm worried because a lot of milk came up & he was really full. Or could it just be he was sick because his tummy was full? He settled quickly after having his sick & poo & has been asleep for over an hour.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've gone back to cartons now. He'll be 5 weeks old on Thursday. Thanks ladies x
