I'm not sure what happened this afternoon, but all day I have been feeling a bit lop sided, and thought nothing else of it until.......

I had a bit of a fall outside. It wasn't a bad one but enough to give me a fright anyway.

I went down towards my left side in a sort of controlled fall landing on my elbow and knee.

Other than feeling a bit red faced and a burned elbow because of the stupid jumper I was wearing......Baby and me are fine.

I feel really silly but so lucky that it wasn't a real fall. I'm sitting with my feet up now for the rest of the day as I am still quite lop sided.

Anyone else's balance a bit off or had a fall. xxx

    Oh hun.. I hope you are feeling ok.. you and bump...

I ended up misjudging where the coffee table was yesterday, kicked it and think I might have broken my toe (I heard a crack, its dead painful and its now twice the size and purple... :rotfl:).. needless to say I went down like a ton of bricks and felt like such a fool..

I seem to remember being very off balance when I got big with Tia so take care of yourself

Yeh, I am feeling ok, thanks.

Still a bit jumpy as I'm scared it will happen again, and next time I might not be so lucky and hurt the baby in some way.

Guess, I'll have to take it as a warning and be much more aware and careful or i'll end up in hospital. xxx

A couple of weeks back I fell down the stairs. I have a split level house and was just getting to the middle to answer the front door when I missed the last step. I went down on my right knee and thankful grabbed the banister to stop myself being more seriously hurt, but I had trouble walking for a few days after that. I'm still nervous when I get to that step now.

I must admit that I have been a bit off balance although haven't fallen over.

eek! take care of urself!
i fell twice when i was pregnant and the second time i was very far gone and i couldnt get back up! :rotfl: my boyf had 2 help me up lol
think its being off balance with the xtra weight
hope ur ok

Your centre of gravity is moving with your growing bump so thats why you feel a bit clumsy and dizzy.

Put your feet up hun and relax. Take care, dont attempt stairs without holding a rail.

Started noticing that I'm not walking in a straight line anymore. I tend to be walking and swaying towards the left hand side which is why I think I fell.

I have a slight bruised elbow now and muscles in my left arm are a little sore and tight, but other than that I am fine.

Only another 9 weeks to go.

How soon will it be until it all goes back to normal?

I'm glad you're ok!

Do you think you could have an outter/inner ear infection?

When I had my outter ear infection, it really did effect my balance. Maybe, just for security, take a pop down to your GP?

Oh Anne-Marie, I'm glad you and baby are ok... what a fright you must have got.

My balance has been ok but I know that some girls can suffer from feeling 'lop sided'... has the midwife said what position baby is lying in?

G x.

The last time I saw my midwife she said that baby was head down and towards the left side, which would explain the fall towards the left.

Someone else mentioned this to me as well. There are a lot or ear and throat infections going around here at the moment, and I did have a bad flu type bug a coupe of weeks ago. It might be worth a mention to my doctor. I have an appointment on Tuesday morning.

That would be a good idea, esp if the lfu/colds have been making the rounds. Most prob the likely thing that is making you feel 'lopsed sided'. I had it a few times with my sinease problem, no biggy, doc sorted it xxx
