just to let you know i'm not looking forward to my mw appt on wednesday cos i used some of those expensive stupid bronzing wipes that claim you have no streaks at all and they are even and natural and although i stuck strictly to the directions i look like a tiger!!!! a dirty muddy tiger!

not impressed!

Fake tan streaky not a good look! if yopu want something too look more natural and not streak when you apply it - garnier summer body spray mist! smells fab and dont streak, just have a shave when you put it on your legs etc. It has also moisturised my sakin too and giv es me a healthy light tan

I've tried so many fake tan's over the years....have to say they all either streak, turn orange or just don't smell nice and leave funny patches etc. I've even tried moisturising creams that have a hint of self tan...same story. Roll on sunny holiday in February is all I can say!! Mind you I got burned over the weekend so perhaps thinking about sun isn't so good just now.

Wondering if a really good soak in the bath followed by a really good exfoliation session might help your streaks?

That would probably do the trick..!

Self tans always disappoint me, I thought the adverts for Johnsons Sun moisturising stuff looked so good, so I got sucked in and tried *another* fake tan, and no that didn't work either, it rubbed off when i touched where it was! Was a good job cos it turned out orange anyway, and even though I applied it evenly everywhere, some parts went really orange, and some parts hadn't changed at all!!! So I had a bit of a contrast.. terrible.

I find that the creams which build up a tan over a day/night work the best, as long as you apply them evenly they won't streak. Just make sure you don't miss any bits, you gotta get to all the nooks and crannies, especially when it comes to your face. A classic mistake is to forget to do the outline of your face, where your ears start...always looks funny :P

Thats what the garnier spray does:build it up, and i find it natural

Well I guess it's whether you prefer creams or sprays then ;) Sprays are probably easier though :)

You can get wipes that remove fake tan - they're pretty good. Try Boots I think.
Otherwise scrub (gently) with one of those puff things and a bit of exfoliant and moisturise well. Do that daily and it'll soon fade.

I hate doing this - it's like dyeing your hair and it doesn't go as planned - you can't do anything about it there and then :?

Lemon juice for the stubborn bits.

Random moment of the day - I was given that tip by a Hollywood stunt woman who has never managed to not go orange and streaky yet.
