I just wanted to say, people ALWAYS say to me ''ooooo you shouldn't crack your knuckles/knees/wrists etc you will get arthritis'' which I have always said ''yeh well whatever cause half of the time they crack themselves and the rest of the time, there so stiff it hurts to move them, once cracked there ok for a day or so'' and I have now found a real answer - so I guess ive always been kinda correct!

Myth: Cracking your knuckles (or other joints) will give you arthritis.
Fact: Cracking your joints does no damage and, in fact, protects them against arthritis. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University found that osteoarthritis is more often present in those who never crack their joints (fingers, backs, knees) than in those who do. That may be because cracking a joint reduces the space within it and results, at least temporarily, in a greater range of motion and flexibility.

Anyway just wanted to share that with any fellow poppers lol

thanks for that useless information jennywren!

This is the point where the myth has come from, a high percentage of people DONT crack and get it, but then people who get it who DID crack would have got it anyway - then its hyped up they got it because of cracking when they didnt

that deffo counts lol

Products like Oven Cleaner, toilet Cleaner, Bleech do not have as many warnings on as they ''should'' have however they have just enough on the bare minimum so they are not breaking the law, if they put eveyrthing on such as ''zxjlchqpwioruepqorj in this product has links to cancer'' no one would by it!!

it's really quite bad - thats why Kim and Aggie use vinegar and fresh lemon juice for everything :rotfl:

i really want the kim and aggie book for that reason. i mean these cleaners that are meant to kill EVERY bacteria! well if thats the case then i suppose it may well kill us too. only more slowly.

ive never used fly spray or anything like that for that reason.

Well how about that!!!!!!!!!!!! I always tell people about the cracking thing and arthritis, because I don't like the noise the cracking makes, so I think I will continue to lie to people and say that they will get artritis if they continue to crack :rotfl: I am evil, pure evil bwa ha ha!!!!!! :rotfl:

I love cracking and if i dont my joints REALLY hurt!! They even have a joint cracking FORUM lmao!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Haha I always do it because I find if you dont they hurt untill you do

i have known that for ages but whenever i try to tell someone who tells me you will get arthiritus if you dont stop doing that (i crack everything, knees, shoulders, thighs, neck, back, all three places in each finger middle top and bottom and thumbs, ankles, toes, bottom of feet, elbows, its a really bad addiction lol...

well no one ever beileves me when i tell them that !

Nah, noone belives when i say it either.. oh well, its not PROVEN either way so i guess if your gonna get it, your gonna get it..if not, lucky you!! lol!
I personally think its just an age thing and nothing to do with cracking.

a joint cracking forum? seriously? this was made for me :rotfl: right im off to click my back before bed lol night xx

Im going to record my selft cracking me fingers, wrists, knees, ankles & toes (there the loudest ones especially in the AM) and send it to you via you tube - :rotfl:

I also find it make my joints easier and more supple etc so I like doing it

Budge, you are right if they can kill all germs what are they doing to our insides when were breathing the stuff in - not good. My mum did the KIM & Aggie thing with white vinegar etc (printed off differnt ingredients to use for what from online) in the bathroom and kitchen and she said it came up better and smelt better and was easier than using products!
