Just found this on another site, Labour oh dear

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.

The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect a NIP with your monthly bill.
If you care about our freedoms and and are fed up - like me - with the taxation and regulations being rolled out by this government please sign the petition on No 10's website.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/

Please pass this on to anyone who owns a car/motorcycle. It affects them

And please also sign this petition, to scrap congestion charges, extra road charges, more tolls and the likes..all the things that put money into the pockets of wine drinking tossers that every day sit and think of another way to screw us over!

There is this one aswell http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/notolls/ we pay road tax i think that is enough soon they will charge you to park on your own drive if they have there way

Thanks for posting this Cassi. I'll pass it on for sure. Another bloody money-making scheme by the scumbag Government :x

oh my god, surelly they cannot make us buy these stupid things?

My car is used alot, for shopping, goin to see mates, having fun out, that and i just like to cruise about and this all wrong wrong wrong

I've signed, we've just gone down to one car cuz we couldn't afford to run 2 which has made things that little bit more difficult for us. If they wanna encourage people to use more public transport why not cut the prices down on that?? £1.10 to catch the bus!!!!!!! This government is getting ridiculous. soon they will be taxing you to have a sh*t in your own toilet!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

oh i never saw that thread before but ho hum you can just sign the toll petition if you have already done the other one :D

When is the next general election and just how popular is labour right now.......NOT!

I know im not voting labour this year...THE SWINES! :rotfl:

Just to say I signed both the petitions when you first posted about them. I was reading the online news just and and came across this:

http://motoring.aol.co.uk/motoring-news ... 1209990002

Apparently the PM has to reply to all the email addresses added to the petition....I'll wait and see before believing it though!!

Have signed, I think it's unbelievable, surely it cannot happen

He will write 1 shitty email and then forward it to everyone on the list...Maybe its ok for him, because it wont bloody affect him!!! What about families with many children...or going on a holiday in the car..its not that bloody easy to take all you're luggage, children etc on public transport...Its pathetic, do they think everyone is rich!!!!

Oh I know it will be one big forwarded email to all the millions that are on there, I didn't think he'd reply personally.... :rotfl: I get what you mean though, we take breaks away in the caravan etc to save constant going abroad/flight expense etc, that would just totally defeat the purpose.

I'm telling ya, were becoming a Nanny Culture!! :wall:

TBH though they won't care about the pettition, if they want to do it, they will, if they don't they won't - They never listen to the bloody public.

All this will do is NOT really affect the people who drive hundreds of miles as most of them are for companies so they will pay, it will NOT affect the rich and they will still drive there kids 2 min round the corner in the land rover cause they are rich and 'just dont care' and AS PER USUAL affect the ''normal'' average working tax payer who gets stung for doing basic driving where needs be! TYPICAL its always the 'average' people who get stepped on!!

I could not afford £100 a month for driving, its bad enough it is finding insurance, tax, petrol, MOT & service money - there taking the piss

Im already starting to build my lead casing ;)

The thing is although some people travelling in peak times etc would be hit hardest using the city/busy roads a lot of people would pay less. The price of petrol will fall as you pay what 98p a litre at the moment, and about 88p of that is tax so that will be scrapped and the road tax, we wouldn't pay that either (the little disk thing for the car window) it would just be pay as you go type thing like a mobile phone although I'm guessing for those on tight budgets getting a monthly/quarterly bill isn't as good as paying the car tax disk and petrol taxes as you go type thing. Ahhh I dunno I signed the petition but I'm now confused about it really. Did you watch the programme last night? Interesting....it was on the same time as Eastenders so most perhaps missed it!!

They won't scrap that much tax on Petrol IMO. Maybe 20p or so but thats it Besides, the average mum on a school run they reconed approx £80 a month, so if I based my journeys on the same and calculate £80 a month, thats more than my current fuel bill which is currently about £50/£60 a month, so unless they give petrol out for free (lol) I recon the most they will slash it is half so I would still be spending say £25 a month on petrol, add that on to my £80 a month 'road fees' thats £105 a month so basically DOUBLING my monthly out goings for my car!!

And thats worked out on best guess figures, I recon they wont slash petrol by half and I recon the monthly bill (once I was back at work) could be more than £80 a month. Unless they slash MOT prices, Make all garages slash Service prices (lets face it £100 is extortionate to change the oil and check the plugs) and slash the insurance by at least 50% it is going to double everyones out goings easily and Im betting the yearly 'cost of living'' salary increases don't recognise it either!!
