Expressing colostrum from 36 weeks?

Hello ladies,

I’m 36 weeks today and my midwife has suggested that I start collecting colostrum from now. I am high risk due to gestational hypertension and think this is why this has been suggested. I am worried that it could induce labour too early as I have read that it’s best not to express before 37 weeks but this is what my midwife recommends.

Has anyone else done this from 36 weeks and been ok?

Colostrum harvesting is from 36/40 is ok - just don't' do it too frequently (up to 3 times a day).
