I've gone out again with the intent of just 'helping' a rescue center not far from me and have again 'accidentally' ended up with another pet =[/=] .....

So that makes it:
Irving the Chinchilla,
Frankie, Spock, George and Sam the bearded dragons,
Joshie the Budgie,
Beany and Mouse the Mice (funnily enough)
Monty the cornsnake,
Amira the thoroughbred,
Tipsy the 3 legged guinea pig
ANDDDDDD
My latest 'baby', Sven the Chinese water Dragon!

I think it's an obession! atm he's chilling on my laptop because it's the warmest place going. and considering he wasn't handled until about 2 months ago he's really keen on a quick tickle under the chin! Guna fatten him up a little more then he's going in with the other dragons (who are out on the window ledge curtain twitching atm!) until he gets too big!

Missed having a water dragon around the place!

He'll sit there all day if I let him, or if I'm watching something on it he'll curl up like a baby kangaroo in my top! Makes me smileee =D

I will do at some point! Used to have loads of the others til the laptop crash of june '11 loll!

Have to go around collecting again!! =D

Umm... you're putting him in with bearded dragons?! Or did i read that wrong?

I keep reptiles and that is not a suitable habitat for a chinese water dragon :shakehead:

The bearded dragon need high heat, low humidity.

The water dragon needs lower heat, higher humidity.

Which "rescue center" did you get him from because they need reporting to animal welfare themselves if they are giving pets out to people without proper habitats.

Pets are not collectable toys you can just stick in a random box.

I know it's harsh, but if you can't provide them with a proper home then you are just being as cruel as the people that dumped them in the first place.

He gets to play with them but has his own 'tank' atm, Haven't bought a viviarium for him yet, as frankly I spent a fortune on one that the RSPCA told me was perfect for my other dragons and did everything they told me to only for it to make them ill.

And Do you know what... I don't think I will be telling you the name of the centre and I resent your use of doing 'this'. I've worked with and for the centre since I was 8 and appart from the original dragons I had I've had almost every animal from them. I do not 'collect' animals I meerly share my life with them and I definately resent ANY implication as to otherwise. The centre wouldn't ave let me have him if I hadn't handled and kept animals like him before.

I think it's disgusting you find it appropriate to go accusing me of not providing him with a proper home when you cannot see him and the fantastic condition he's in and that of my other animals. If you'd come to my house and had issues with how any of my animals were kept then I'd addressed them. I'm not into 'my horse is bigger then yours' but I've a bloody fortunes worth of temperature and humidity controlling equipment that no hobbyist would own as it's not of standard. and Have a custom made 7ftX6ftX4ft Viviarum that can be area controlled and have kept various reptiles in there together happily. Until recently my older dragons shared it with a balalisk who had similar requirments to the new dragon. The centre knew this and it's why I was allowed him.

But yano ... what would I know. I just collect animals.

I agree with LuW on that one, if she was in anyway unfit to care for animals she would have been reported and had them taken away by now. Having quite a few animals does not make someone a 'collector', she's an animal lover. If you can afford to keep and cope with caring for quite a few animals, there's no reason you shouldn't. We only gave a lot of our animals to others because I eventually became too ill to care for them but before that we had several horses, rodents, cats and dogs and they were all loved and well cared for. Don't assume someone is an animal collector or abuser just because they have a few of them, it's unjustified and unfair.

Started the process of working out how much it's going to cost to move the viviarium when we move because it didn't come with us last time.... It's not a pretty sum! May See if the bro is interested in learning how to keep them until I can work up the extra funds! (Unless I win the lotto in the next 3 months! loll)

TBH the house we're looking ats only like 10mins away but I feel awful saying right they're staying noones to touch them I'll come by and sort them out every day (all the feathered and fluffys are moving with) but then it's a small fortune of my mums electricity for no one else to enjoy them. OOOOOOOH pleasae mr army man that I've shouted at quite a lot put L's bouns through then all my babies can go to our new home!! loll!! XX
