Engorgement

When does engorgement stop happening? I still get really painful rock solid boobs at least every other day. I remember at the start people saying that your milk supply settled down at 6-8 weeks but SR is over 10 weeks now and nothing's changed. Had to hand express just to get him on when I woke up this morning as my poor nipples were stretched so tight.

I still occasionally get it - when he's missed a feed overnight especially (I also get milk spraying everywhere!) and also I got it quite randomly about 14 weeks, just massive extra milk! It is mostly settled though x

I spray him every time he comes off! And at the moment he comes off a lot to chat to the boob. So cute!

My LO is 20 weeks and I have only just stopped getting it.

My LO is 16 weeks and I still get it every few days for no apparent reason...it's annoying. Beginning to think my supply will never settle down and I just need to live with it x

i get it every morning, owwwwwwwwww but thats cos lo sleeps thru and theres only so much my poor norks can hold

I get it every morning too, and often one boob will leak through the breast pad while I feed on the other, giving lo a wet tummy if I don't remember to put a muslin down! Lol!

Am soft the rest of the day though x

I bfed for 5 months, and still got engorged occasionally towards the end if I hadnt fed for a long time! I think it depends on how long you are used to going between feeds, I usually never went more than 8 hours, so it was on the odd occasion that I went 12 hours+ that I still got engorged. Sorry hun!

Thanks guys. Mine is definitely worst in the morning. Although it's calmed a bit this week, when I wanted too much milk so I could pump for when i go out this weekend!
