I have put up with this for a while and i know i need to mention it to Dr or MW but i never seem to get round to it so i thought id ask here first to see if anyone else had this problem.

Basically i have an itch, its not thrush as there is no discharge etc and its in a different place (sorry this may be TMI)
It's basically at the front of the "lips" and the lower pubic region. It only seems to itch at night and its one of those itches you HAVE to scratch but then i scratch or rub too much and it gets sore.

I changed washing powder to see if it was an allergy but it hasnt gone. I was wondering if perhaps it was a type of ezcema type thing because i am erm very "wet" in that area all the time??

I do hope someone can help and now shall go and hide in a corner somewhere and die of embarrasment!!!

kind of like above the clit but inside?
i've had/got that now, i thought it was thrush but the cream i got doesn't seem to be helping much

Hmmmm ish, mine is more outside on the front where the lips meet the hair (OMG this has to be the most random thread haha)

Go to the doctors and get yourself checked will be some random infection easily cleared up.

DONT SUFFER THE PUBIC ITCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha ive had this... usually goes when i drink more water. dont know why but it does.

LOL i love these threads, they make you cringe, but it's amazing how many other people are going throught the same thing!

I personally dont have itching, but every now and then my whole "down there" seems almost swollen, like theres extra blood flow (only way to describe it)

As for ezcema, i have quite dry skin anyway but i've never had ezcema before until now, i've had patches on my legs which have cleared up and in between my fingers and now it's moved to the very common, in my arm fold area, it's horrible, all red and sometimes i just catch myself itching it without thinking, worst of all, NOTHING will moisturise that area

Hey ladies

Thought I'd get stuck in with my gory input!!

I have had the swelling and soreness, but did not notice any discharge, and found it to be very dry down there, so never though it was thrush (never had it before) BUT, (WARNING TMI...) I put my fingers up there the other day for a feel around to see if I could discover anything, and found a lot of creamy discharge (kind of like cottage cream :puke: ) and yes, appears it's thrush!!

Other symptom I had which may help is I found it uncomfortable to have sex, but at the time just put it down to my mystery dryness and swelling!

Been to docs today and got treatment so hopefully will now bugger off!!

Hope I've been of some help (Else I've just made myself out to be un-necessarily unglamorous! ) x

SOunds exactly like my first ever bout of thrush, i wasnt itchy so didnt know what it was. Now i've had it so much i can tell before it gets itchy that its coming on, it just "feels different"

I havent had this yet but i reakon it still maybe thrush. Let us know what the docs say so if i get it at a later date i'll know what it is!

Claire x

Hope it is getting better for you - do get it checked out. Sometimes putting yoghurt there helps also - live bacteria clears out any bacterial infection...usually works within a day or two - also drinking plenty of water.
