I finally found the exact double pram I wanted in my area on fleabay and picked it up today. The bloke (nice house etc etc) gave OH a brief demo of it and we brought it home. On much closer inspection when you actually put it up the hinges dont even lock so the pram is unstable and I'm worried it will just collapse when it has the weight of 2 babies in it. Also as the hinges were not locking properly Eefie immediately put his hand under one of them as its a natural holding place, if I'd have moved the pram he'd have caught his fingers.
It has 2 pneumatic tyres on the front, one was bent so they didnt run straight, didnt notice so much on grass but as soon as it was on the pavement the wheel was scraping at an angle. Is got tears in the fabric, big gouges on the framework and tons of scratches, the hoods were marked and dirty, basically its unsafe and its a shed!

It was advertised as "Having light useage, less than 9 months old"   My Ar5e!!!

I've asked for a refund and told him its not safe, we'll see what he says. I cant believe he would KNOWINGLY sell that in that condition, his advert is completely misleading and doesnt mention any damage whatsoever.

I am soooo peeved!

:x :x
We bought a Loola once off ebay and when we got it home it had a fag burn in the seat!

Hope you get a refund!

 you've got me worried now- I just bought a pram off the bay for my mum's house! :rotfl:

oh i hope he gives you a refund, ifnot take it up with paypal

fingers crossed you get a refund. did you check previous feedback

Oh dear sounds like a bit of a nightmare, if you went to check it hun maybe you should have had a good run through there, not saying theres any excuse for selling something so obviously unsafe as * lightly used* but for next time dont leave til youve gone over it, then you can just not pay !!

I'd already paid by paypal before pick up so much the same as it arriving by post so I will be covered that way. Seller is 100% feedback, he's not responded to me yet.
He just gave OH a brief demo, he thought it was spongy with suspension, when I got it at home to have a play its not suspension, its the bloody hinges not locking into place as they're worn. The odd scuff and scratch I dont mind as its to be expected but to advertise as "lightly used" is stretching it too far.

I think they themselves bought it 2nd hand as it has one pink and one blue hood (they have 2 girls) but they give the impression they bought it NEW less than 9 months ago, no way.

I've had my graco 15 months and its been hammered, cobbles, gravel, beaches, snow you name it and there's hardly a mark on it :shakehead:

have u got a phone number hun , i would try ringing if not i would put a paypal claim in before they have chance to take the money out

Oh bugger, i think you should still be able to get a refund though, as it wasnt as described was it, obviously not bleedin * lightly used* hopefully payapl will be able to srt you out !!

Do you not have to give sellers time to respond first before putting in a claim with paypal? He's still not responded when he's been quite quick previously

No you dont HAVE to give time, its just more polite to, but then again, selling you a duff pushchair wasnt exactly polite.
If you start a dispute it'll freeze his paypal account and take the money you paid out. It'll show him your serious, and as you know where he lives you can return the pushchair to him when you recieve the refund.
TBH i think most sellers would see you have started a dispute and give you a refund straight away, you could maybe give him incentive saying that if you can sort things amicably you wont give him negative feedback, if he's got 100% possitive he'll proabaly care about it.

Have they brought the new rules about not giving buyers negative feedback in yet? If not watch out cos some women totally fucked me about and when i gave her naegative saying she never contacted me and messed round, she left me negative saying i never contacted her etc, and ebay wont do anything about it even though i had evidence from my account that i'd emailed her many times.

Hope its sorted soon hun.

Thanks Clare

He obviously has no intention of replying as I've sent him 3 messages now and he's not responded to the dispute opened last night when he's previously been very quick to respond. I find it astounding that he bought the pram originally and he got stung and instead of going back to HIS seller he passes it on to somebody else. Just shows some people really dont give a shit about others and he didn't give a stuff about the potential of putting my children at risk. :shakehead:

thats shocking!!!

report him. and leave negative feedback (he cant leave u neg feedback anymore - ebay have stopped sellers from doing this ;) )
