early scan.......

Hey girls

Benn in A & E all day worrying myself as usual!! Had really bad cramps! Anyway I am in for an early scan tomorrow is this normal?

I haven't had a scan but i've had sore cramps for a couple of weeks now but because I haven't bled, I didnt ask for a scan.

Hi!

The cramps can be normal, as long as they aren't very severe and accompanied by red blood.... i've had quite bad cramping (some took my breath away ) and at one point they were all on one side, i had red blood and so we rushed to A+E thinking the worst and they arranged for a scan for me... as i was only 5 weeks they could tell there was a baby and it was in the right place but no heartbeat yet...so i waited until 7 weeks and had another scan where we got to see baby with a heartbeat... i didnt see how far along you are so that will depend on what you see hun! Try not to worry too much (easier said than done i know!)

P.s I meant to say that even now i get cramps on and of and my Midwife said its due to the uterus expanding

Will my ticker says 8 weeks I think my lmp was 28th june so if I count back I think I am about 10 weeks, think I will see somethin?

I had an early scan at 6 weeks due to cramping and altho babs is soo tiny it is amazing u will see a black space and a small whiter shape and see its lil heart beating away.(That wasnt a very gd explanation but yes u will see something). Hope all goes well

Hehe Amy's Description is pretty accurate to be fair! But yes you will see some thing hun. The first day of my LMP was 27th June too and make myself 11 weeks and 5 days but my dating scan puts me at 12 weeks and 1 day. So you will be over 11 weeks by now i should imagine!

you can see bubs on an external scan from 8 weeks plus so you should be able to see something

Hi

I had two early scans due to cramps and a bit of old blood. the first one was at 5 weeks and they could see that baby was in right place but too early for HB. the second at 7 weeks was great as we could see something beating inside the "little bean"!!!!!

i'm still having cramps, they may mean that your uterus is stretching and making space for your growing baby so i guess that if they are not very painfull and fresh bleeding is a good sign!!!!
