Hi

After visiting the doctors with some leg pain which seemed different to the usual aches and wasn't going I spent Friday night at the hospital checking bloods etc. The tests came back positive for a deep vein thrombosis, this doesn't however mean I have one but it means that I have to have a scan (which I'm getting in the morning). Until they know I have to have daily injections of blood thinners. Does anyone know anything about DVT and pregnancy? All I can find on the internet is that it can be fatal if not found and that pregnant women are at greater risk.

Hi

Hi

I work in a hospital and have seen a lot of pregnnt ladies with DVTs who continue to have the injections that thin the blood until after the birth and while everyone is different please dont worry as you will be fine now you are getting the right treatment.

xx

no i dont kno anything about it sorry.
hope ur ok tho x

I was diagnosed as possibly having a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clot) on my lung at 8 weeks pregnanct and have been on Clexane ever since and will have to have it for about 6 weeks after the birth also. If you have any questions then ask away i will tell you what i know.

I don't know much about DVT but wanted to wish you luck for tomorrow. Hope all goes well. X
