i've never done one. what do you all do when you give a dreamfeed? do you recommend it? eva always wakes at 3 or 4am so i'm thinking of trying it tonight.

When jess was a baby I would put her down after a wakened feed about 9. Then at about 11.30 -12 I would lift her and feed her. Most of the time she wouldnt even waken as they have a reflex that allows them to eat and sleep. Some babies though cant do it. I changed her at the same time and then that would be her till about after 6.

If it works then great!

i swear by dream feeds i put Harley down at 8pm then about 11pmi lift him out his mosses basket feed him lift him up on my sholder windhin change him all while he is asleep then hes down until the morning

wow i would have thought it would wake him up!! sounds like its working for you though! hmmm maybe i should try it. i dont really get more than 3hours sleep in a row.

normally go to bed at 11.30ish after i have had a chance to wind down. then she wakes up anywhere between 2.30-4am for a feed and again at 6-7am.

My O/H does the dream feed at 11.00pm everynight.

She goes bed about 7 - after her 6.00pm feed and then he does the dream feed: He dimms all the lights upstairs (or turm them off preferably!), lifts Heidi out of her cot and takes her into her room to be fed. We used to change her nappy too, but we dont do that now as it wakes her up too much.

He doesnt wake her, she is sort of half asleep / half awake when she feeds.

He then winds her and lays her back in the cot and she goes back sleep. We have been doing this for about 3 weeks now and it has been fab! we have our evenings back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for it all to go wrong soon though!!!

Let us know how you get on!

Hi

We dont do dreamfeeds, this past week Kiaras been sleeping 5-7 hours a night "knock on wood"
But i hope you find somthing that works i know what its like to wake up numerous times a night before this week Kiara would wake every two hours all day long to eat.
Good luck
Katrina

I would keep trying to see if she will settle. Its a new routine for her and wether or not its to her liking your the boss and this is whats happening.

I would make her bedtime bottle a big one then the dreamfeed is just a top up and nappy change.

Dont get downhearted, she is getting on a bit at 4 months and is probably getting fly.

You're both so lucky. I don't know what i'm doing different but Jamie will have a feed at about 22.30-23.00 but will always wake up grizzling at about 3 ish then again at about 6-7. If he is asleep or falls asleep while on the bottle he doesn't automatically feed, boo hoo
I know he's still young yet but can't wait until the 3 O'clock feed stops, i'm so tired coz he usually is awake gurgling for ages after or if he does go back to sleep after that one, he saves it for the 6 O'clock one, so I can't go back to sleep.

I don't really know. He's on the Avent 1 teats. What ages should they have what teats? sorry i'm clueless

nicki those times are great for his age. i know its tiring though!! eva is waking at the exact same times.

except last night she woke up at 2.45am , i put her dummy back in and she went back to sleep instead of having a bottle. she woke up at 5am though and wanted to play after her bottle :D

Nicki, Charlie has very similar times as well!!!

Last feed around 10.30, sleeps until around 2.30/3am, back down within half hour then feeds again at 6am back down again although abit grizzly then awake again at 9ish.

He was flat out at 8pm last night so fed him whilst still asleep (took 4oz instead of usual 5oz) at 11pm but he still woke at 2.45am for a feed so not pushing the dreamfeed too much until he's abit older.

i think this has kinda backfired on me a bit! :D she was started waking up between 11pm-12am for a feed. then wakes up for her dummy at 3ish and wants another bottle at about 4am.
