Downs score result

I have just got home and got a letter from the hospital about my downs syndrome/spina bifida test results.

It says 1:9000. I don't have a clue what is good or bad can anyone help? Is this good?

It does state in the letter that they are not going to take the tests further so i presume it is good?

On my anti-natal notes book the MW had put my risk at 1:1404.

Yes thats very low risk. The number your midwife wrote down could of just been risk due to your age.

How long does it take from test to results.I am so nervous about it .

Mine took under 2 weeks to arrive and they said I was low risk. so glad I didn't need any further tests.

My MW appt was on the 4th when she took the blood to be tested, and i received the letter last night so just over a week for me.

I was not worried at all for some reason. I am worried everytime i have a scan and Mw appt, incase something has happened to baby but this never bothered me. Weird?!

My risk factor was 1 in 1400 or something i cant remember lol

my risk factor was very low, but i got my results on the same day as my blood test.

I didn't hear the results of my bloods till I went for my 20 wk scan a month after the blood was taken.

 

It's only considered high if it's 1 in 250 I think. Great result hun xx
