Has anybody been?

Was just wondering if anyone knows what immunizations(sp) are recommended?

My mum has just booked to go at the beginning of November and it has just occured to her they may need some!

don't know personally, but try the back of a holiday brochure or nhs direct website

My sister and her family are going in oct and they have had to have some jabs but don't know which ones, I think if you tell the doc or nurse where you are going they know which ones to give. Sorry that wasn't really helpful was it :?

Thats where my sis got married but i dont know botu injections

You don't really need to have any for the Dom Rep but Malaria tablets are recommended along with Typhoid, hep A, Diptheria.
I used to fly there alot (was cabin crew) and never took anything, the only thing I had was a tetnus shot when I got back to the UK after treading on a Sea Urchin, couldn't work home, shame!! :cheer:

Hope this helps :D

I went about 6 years ago and if memory serves me right had to have hepatitus, tetanus and sorry cant remember the other, I jus telephoned the docs told em where I was going and they arranged the jabs, did have to pay for them.

hope your mum has a great hol
