Does anyone know how early you can ovulate and get pregnant?

I had what felt like ovulation pain last night on cd8/9, and got really excited as we dtd yesterday. But then I read that cd9 would be an immature follicle and it is not possible to conceive. I have never heard about that before. Does anyone know on what cycle day an egg is viable?

I don't normally ovulate this early but I have read that sex can literally trigger ovulation and we don't usually dtd this early.

Hi Sunflower,

Did not want to read and run but I am not very key on this type of thing!
However, I do know that the month we fell got our positive we only actually did 'it' (lol) twice ... a few days after my period had ended and then right near the end of my timeframe (we had kind of given up for a while and had a super busy month) but as I got extremely sore boobs a day or two after I did a test and got a positive which could have only been from the first time we had done it seeing as we had only done it again a couple of days earlier meaning I would have ovulated early ... I do have a cycle between 21 and 24 days so not sure if that makes any difference

xx

Hi sunflower the earliest I ovulated was cd10 but this month I ovulated cd15 but I got ovulation pains from cd8! So I thought I was ovulating early too but opk didn’t get dark till cd14. Are you using opks? I wouldn’t trust the ovulation pains as t could happen well before. That’s how my body works anyway.

I think i ovulated around cd10. Dtd cd9 and cd11....on cd10 had ov pains and pinkish stretchy cm. I think cd9 is ok as speem hangs around a while. The ov pains you had might be egg being released....but the egg can hand around for 12-24 hours....i think x

Thanks guys. Yes I'm using opks and they are only starting to get dark. Feel optimistic this month, don't know why. On CoveyClover's recommendation we are having a break from ConceivePlus and I have a good feeling about it.

I know ladies who ovulate on CD9 and don’t appear to have an issue with immature follicles. As long as your hormone levels are right, that could just be your ‘norm’
