Docs tomoz.. nervous now need sum help!!

Hi girls,

Ive made my mind up to go to the docs tomoz and have a chat as its been 11 months for me now and im on my 12th cycle so id like to start getting sum tests done if poss. Im just wondering what to say to him??

Im pretty sure he wil help me as he is very lovely and i have other health issues and hes been fab with that when others havent listened. Im also very nearly 30 so time inst on my side now and dont want to wait forever.

What would you lovely ladies suggest as to how to get the ball rolling?? Should i mention im happy to go private if he can suggest any clinics?? Im very worried and nervous now any advice would be appreicated.

Hi lovely,

I went to my gp a couple weeks ago for some answers and he sent me for 21day bloods to see if I'm ovulating, he was quite good and he didn't ask me for a full run down if what I have been doing to try but said we can see if I'm ovulating and take it from there. He said if they come back fine oh will need to have a sperm test. I get the results tommorow and feel a bit odd about it, I have pcos so it's likely I could not be ovulating but if I have it brings further questions on why we are not catching.

Just be honest hun and tell him exactly how you feel. Listen to what he has to say. My doctor started tests straight away and as soon as he knew there was a problem he referred me. ALl this was int he space of 2-3 months.

first appointment will probably be a day 21 test, if that comes back clear it'll be a sperm test and from there a day 2-5 blood test for you. That's about as far as the GP can go so probably a referral following that. Some doctors do everything at once, others do them one at a time and some people seem to get referred out straight away without any tests. It really depends on the doctor.

Good luck Hun. Just have a chat to them honestly and see what they suggest. I was referred for bloods and a scan first but I guess it was obvious the problem was me. Let us know how you get on xxx

Thanks everyone, i forgot to say before that i have had my 21 day bloods done back in dec and they seemed to be fine. I will take all your advice and just be honest and explain how much this is effecting me now. Will let you all know how it goes.

It didnt exactly go the way i would have liked but im feeling ok.

The doc is great and said that our fertility clinic will not see anyone untill they have been tring 2yrs!!

He did explain that it is early days for me and my hubby and that he is sure it will happen and that we just need to chill out a bit and hopefully it will happen. He said that the 21day bloods were fine and showed i was oving and something about my FH and LH levels were fine?? Not sure what this is but he said im all ok for now.

He is willing to give hubby an SA though so thats good and if all is fine there we have to just keep at it and go back he said in maybe 9 months to get the ball rolling for more tests.

Bit gutted but also feel a bit calmer that he seems positive that we will fall and that it does just take some people longer than others. He did make me laugh when he said "i know its hard for you and its sods law that a 15yr olds fall pg after one time and you are married and want one and it seems to take forever"!!! Bloody true!! lol.

So its just carry on and try to take my mind off it and hope and pray keep everything crossed i do fall soon.

I really hope so!!

I think going docs is a good idea becuase at least it has put my mind at rest a bit more and made me feel a bit calmer now. Fx for your bfp though and hopefully you wont need to.
