Just wondering? I mean can I eat pate or runny eggs now and all that other stuff?

I do (well did  ). If there are any histories of food allergies in your family, e.g nuts then you may have to avoid them and if bub has a dairy intolerence then that can sometimes affect them if you have a lot of dairy but if they're fine and healthy then you should be fine with anything :D

I tend to avoid spicy foods and caffeine though :D

I eat everything lol. Ddon't worry about avoiding anything when pregnant (apart from lots of alcohol)

It is actually very good to eat a varied diet when breastfeeding as it flavours your milk and gets baby used to a whole range of flavours. I eat hot curreisd, chilli etc etc. However some babies can have food allergies like Kina said so you may have to cut out diary for example but this is only if they show signs of intoloernace

Thanks for the replies. I have to watch what I'm taking just now with phynalanine (sp?) in it as my husband is allergic to it and they are testing Arianna for it as it makes him hyper.

Basically it's in anything with sweetners rather than sugar - like diet coke has it but regular doesn't. A bit of a nightmare!!

lol, i never even avoided anything when i was actually pregnant (no alcohol was my only change to my normal life, i even laid laminate flooring at 8 months pregnant - oh how i got told off by people...), let alone now! i had medium rare steaks, pate, runny eggs - the lot!

now i'm BFing there's nothing i don't eat, i even had 1/2 a bottle of wine last night and ruben was still fine! :D
